TIRSA PERL's second album was released in December 2021. Five years had passed since the debut. A long time in which TIRSA PERL had continued on their path. Songs had been written and the band had performed live. One major event was a concert at the Heldenstadt Festival in Leipzig (September 2019). Here, Müller and Reininghaus (supported by Afi Fischer on bass) returned to their roots and resurrected THE REAL DEAL. Another similar concert took place in Berlin in November 2019 (OstArt Festival). In 2020, the focus was once again on TIRSA PERL. Müller and Reininghaus decided to release a new album. And then came the pandemic.

Kai Reininghaus continued to write new songs and recorded basic tracks in Berlin. And then STRANGE TIMES was released in December 2021. The album not only contains new songs, but also some that the two had been playing for some time but had not yet recorded. "Seconds of fear", for example, was written by Reininghaus back in 1993, while "Rush of pain" had been on the song list since 2012. An original version of "Little Atlantis" even dates back to 1990. "Nobody is perfect" is an old REAL DEAL classic - but here it appears in a new light in a modified version. When listening, the different times of origin of the tracks are not noticeable, and the only song with German lyrics ("Es wird passieren") fits perfectly.
