The Real Deal (East-German underground band from Mueller & Reininghaus 1987-1989) recorded their first tracks at an youth culture building named „JKH Arthur Hoffmann“ aka „Haus Steinstrasse“ (located in Leipzig-Connewitz) on an cold stormy Saturday in Dezember 1987. Early noisy ideas far away from their regular band „Reininghaus“ (classic rock with german lyrics). The recording equipment was very simple: They used a 6-channel-mono-mixer (Vermona Regent 1060 - Made in GDR!), a couple a Mics and a ordinary Tape-Deck-Recorder (JVC Cassette Deck KD-D2). And that’s all. No overdubs. All the recordings are live-recordings from the rehearsal. A little noisy. And sometimes overdrived. Not perfect. But powerful. Full of life.
