about

THE REAL DEAL live at "Musik Frontal IX" (February 1989, "Kino Connewitz" Leipzig). This is a part of the whole show, including the following tracks: MY OPINION, A STORY, WHY I'M NOT, DRIVE MY CAR, COMING HOME. You can feel the energy and power of an amazing evening. THE REAL DEAL was an East German Underground Band during 1987 till 1989. They were located in Leipzig and released several tapes in those years. It was a classical trio with K.Müller on drums, K.Reininghaus on guitar and voice and "Der Dicke" played the bass. (Note: "Drive My Car" is a very special version of the Lennon/McCartney classic). The tracks were recorded in the classic bootleg style with a tiny tape recorder. Thanx B.S.

The "Leipziger Volkszeitung" (newspaper in Leipzig) wrote about the show: "Kompromisslos, hart und kraftvoll geradeaus war dann der energische Auftritt der Leipziger Gitarrenband „The Real Deal“. Also Tip: nächsten Termin wahrnehmen!" (LVZ February 1989)
